Pope Francis has invited the young people of the world to come to Rome in July 2025 for the Holy Year. Join Young Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam from July 24 to August 6, 2025 on an adventurous pilgrimage to Rome, the heart of the Church, and discover what it’s like to be part of a worldwide community of young believers.
A Journey of Hope
During the program in Rome (July 28 to August 3, 2025) you will meet young people from all over the world who, like you, want to embark on a ‘pilgrimage of hope’. Together you’ll celebrate that the Church is young and collectively build up the Church and the world of tomorrow.
A Journey of Encounter
In addition to meeting the community of the global Church in Rome, you will get to know the community of saints through visits to unique places: Paray-le-Monial, Assisi, Siena, Turin, and Orvieto.
In Paray-le-Monial, you will learn about St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. During a vision, Jesus revealed His Sacred Heart to her. We will visit the place where Jesus appeared to her and the chapel of perpetual Adoration.
In Turin, we will learn about St. Don Bosco and Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati (who, like Carlo Acutis, will be canonized in 2025). Both are known for their commitment to young people and their dedication to those most in need.
In Siena, you will learn about St. Catherine, patroness of Italy and one of the patron saints of Europe. In Siena, we will also visit one of the Eucharistic miracles described by Blessed Carlo Acutis.
In Assisi, you will meet St. Francis and St. Clare. And of course we shall visit Carlo Acutis, the young ‘Internet saint’ who’s to be canonized in 2025.
