Viering onder de blauwe hemel
Zaterdag 15 augustus - 17.15 uur - Krijtberg Amsterdam
H.Mis & ProcessieOp donderdag 15 augustus, na de Heilige Mis van 17.15 uur in de Krijtberg (gevierd in het Engels en Nederlands), houdt de geloofsgemeenschap een korte processie met het beeld van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw. Na terugkeer in de kerk wordt afgesloten met een korte lofdienst aan Maria. De processie is bedoeld als een bedevaart, met zang en gebed, om door de voorspraak van Moeder Maria de zegen van de goede God af te smeken over de stad, haar inwoners en de vele bezoekers die vaak in grote geestelijke nood verkeren. Er wordt gerekend op een grote opkomst bij deze bijzondere viering! Na de succesvolle vieringen op Goede Vrijdag en Sacramentsdag, waarbij de geloofsgemeenschap van de Krijtberg samen met die van het Begijnhof biddend de straat op ging, wordt nu op het Feest van de Maria-Tenhemelopneming iets soortgelijks gedaan. |
Holy Mass & ProcessionOn Thursday, August 15, following the 5:15 p.m. Holy Mass at the Krijtberg (celebrated in English and Dutch), a short procession with the statue of Our Lady will be held. Once back in the church, it will conclude with a brief service of praise to Mary. The procession is intended as a pilgrimage, with singing and prayer, to implore, through the intercession of Mother Mary, the blessing of the good Lord upon the city, its residents, and the many visitors who are often in such great spiritual need. A large turnout is expected for this special celebration! Following the successful celebrations on Good Friday and Corpus Christi, during which the Krijtberg faith community, together with that of the Begijnhof, took to the streets in prayer, something similar will now be done on the Feast of the Assumption. |
